Accreditation Standards
Accreditation Standards for Nuclear Medicine Technologist Education, known simply as The Standards, define the criteria a nuclear medicine technology program must meet to be accredited by the JRCNMT. Standards are updated approximately every five years with input from JRCNMT collaborating organizations, program faculty and educational administrators, the nuclear medicine community, state licensing bodies, other accrediting agencies and the general public.
- Accreditation Standards (2021 version) The standards were revised in 2020-2021 to include diagnostic CT content. None of the nuclear medicine technology content was modified. The effective date of these standards is August 1, 2022. Applicability of the CT content to programs and the timeline for compliance are identified in this Overview of Accreditation Standards. JRCNMT Policy & Procedure Manual
The JRCNMT Policy & Procedure Manual informs accredited programs, programs seeking accreditation and the general public about how the JRCNMT conducts accreditation activities. (Revised October 2023)
